The Red Devils have entered the market looking for a new left-back after both Luke Shaw and Tyrell Malasia were injured. Leaving Erik ten Hag without a player for the position in the first team.
The club had originally intended to sign Chelsea’s Marc Cugureya. But negotiations stalled after he played for the Blues in the Carabao Cup win over AFC Wimbledon earlier today UFABET.
They want to include an early termination clause in his contract. So that they could send Kugureya back to Chelsea in January when both Shaw and Malasia are fit.
However, his appearance on Wednesday night means that Kugureya will not be able to leave on those terms. In case the player is sent back in January, it will prevent the Blues from being able to sell him elsewhere having already played for two clubs in one season.
They eventually contacted Reguilon and Spurs allowed the player to undergo a medical with the Red Devils on Thursday. And now it has been officially launched.
“I know I can contribute to Manchester United this season,” Reguilon said.
“I’m ready to fight for this team and show everyone what I’m capable of.”
“In life you have to be prepared for everything. And the opportunity to represent this great club with such an illustrious history was something I couldn’t turn down.”
“After speaking with the manager. I know what he wants from me. And I am ready to play my part in helping the team be successful.”
