Twitter Enters into Partnership with ESPN, NBCUniversal

Twitter will make the announcement of its partnership venture with NBCUniversal and ESPN tonight as it hosts its Digital Content NewsFront. The company will unravel double the amount of fresh content deals and renewals as compared to its last year’s basket.

The deal with NBCUniversal will include live video sharing and excerpts from properties counting NBC News, CNBC, MSNBC, and Telemundo. The ESPN deal would include broadcasting of shows like Fantasy Focus Live and Sports Center Live. Many other exciting combinations of audio and video would be sharing a common screen via Twitter as was revealed by the Video Head of Twitter, Kayvon Beykpour. He disclosed the popularity of video viewing on the platform as was evident from the doubled viewing numbers in the last year. Twitter’s investment in video content continues to grow.

Matthew Derella, the Global VP of Revenue and Content Partnerships at Twitter disclosed that the company’s strength lay in providing the brands with a one-of-a-kind ability to establish a connect with influential consumers through a combination of audio and video feed offered by their platform. He also highlighted their platform’s greater transparency and the offering of a safe environment for brands.

Some other interesting features which were the highlight of the announcements include exciting ad programs like Creator Originals; Live Brand Studio that produces live video; series called CELEBrate wherein idols send heartening messages to their fans; Power Star Live, an inspiration from Black Twitter phenomena by Will Packer Media; IRL and Delish Food Day from Hearst Magazines Digital Media. There is still more! Other content revelations are renewal of AM to DM for the year 2018, launch of ‘The New Space Race’ by Vice News, introduction of ‘Pattern’ which focuses on news about science and weather, and the airing of Championship Sunday and highlights for the remaining part of the season.

Jack Dorsey, CEO thanked advertisers while drawing the ceremony to a close and stated that Twitter will always continue carrying on their dialogue with the public.
