4.8 Million Fiat Chrysler Cars Called Back In The US Owing To The Technical Flaw

Fiat Chrysler is one of the most renowned car manufacturers in the world that never fails to awe the people with the innovative technologies and luxury of the automobiles. However, it has called back 4.8 million vehicles in the US pertaining to the flaws it recognized in the models Ram 1500, 3500, and 2500, Dodge Durango, Jeep Grand Cherokee, Jeep Cherokee, Jeep Wrangler, Chrysler 300, Chrysler 200, Chrysler Pacifica, and others. The dealers are also calling back the models of Fiat Fremont running outside Canada and the US.

As per the engineers of the automobile manufacturer, the flaw may restrict the users from deactivating the cruise control. For the cars, which are running out of the US have been warned to refrain from using the function till the time it comes with a new software update. The company has also confirmed that no crash or accident is related to the flaw and is not contributing to the callback. Rather it stated that a driver had reported an issue with the cruise control in 2017 Dodge Journey, which initiated a fresh set of research work. It was found that the cruise control systems are automatically accelerating the speed, disabling the driver to take control of the adverse scenarios.

The car maker is concerned about the valued users, who may face challenges to cancel the operation of the cruise control, imposing hassle and danger. On the other hand, the users have shared their experiences by stating that they are able to stop the car by either applying recurrent brake or shifting the gear to neutral and pushing the brake paddle.

The recalls were done specifically for the models which were manufactured from 2014 onwards. Though the integrated number of cars, which are affected due to the similar concern, is not known, countries like Mexico and Canada are also facing adversities due to the recall.
